The Social Democratic Party (SDP), has cleared the air that the decision of it’s National Working Committee (NWC) to substitute Hon. Hingah Biem, who officially won the party’s governorship primaries in Benue State, was not based on any parochial interest.

The NWC had substituted Biem with Dr Hwande Terungwu Steven,a former governorship aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP).

According to the National  Leaders of the party, the replacement was strategized to ensure the party wins the governorship seat in the state at all cost in the coming election.

He explained that the party is not in contention with Biem, who he described as a very respectable member of the SDP.

“When we are doing political calculations, zoning and all these things, it is to ensure that we win.
“What is happening here is a victory to all of us. Benue State will give us a goverment in 2019,” he said.

The Benue Youth Speaker said Benue State has suffered a lot of political injustice because the youths have been left behind automatically in issues of good governance.

“This has made the state to suffer a lot of challenges.
