Chief Falae congratulates Agunloye @70, describes him as Incorruptible servant

National Chairman  of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Chief Olu Falae has congratulated  the former Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission and former Minister of Power and Steel, Dr. Olu Agunloye, on his 70th birthday.

In a statement issued weekend in Abuja, the National  Publicity Secretary of the party, Alfa Mohammed quoted Falae as describing Agunloye  as a performer and incorruptible servant who has never being fingered in any corrupt practice.

Chief Falae remarked that the foot prints of Agunloye in the Federal Road Safety Corp which he pioneered as the first Corps Marshall, has remained indelible, especially in the area of discipline and dedication to duty.

He said: “The organization is arguably the less discussed in any forum where corruption in paramilitary is the subject.”

“As two times minister of the Federal Republic, Defense, Power and Steel respectively, Agunloye distinguished himself as a performer and incorruptible servant as he was one of if not the only minister of power who was never invited by the EFCC,” he added.

The SDP National Chairman recalled that on joining SDP in 2016, Agunloye’s popularity  amongst his people in Ondo State instantly manifested as the traffic of new members in the party trippled and he became the obvious choice candidate in the Governorship race when he later joined”.

According to him, “though he lost the election, the people of Ondo State never cease to regret his defeat in the controversial election.

Chief Falae also noted that at the national level of the social democratic party, “Agunloye   has continued to serve the party committedly and I often referred to him as the chief resource person of the SDP, a situation which led me in to forcing the position of my Chief of staff on him.”

“On behalf of the entire members of our great party, I salute Agunloye at 70 and wish him a happy birthday,” he said.
